We are a member-managed small business that started operations in January of 2011.

Laura D. Mood and Michael P. Mood, CPA, CGMA met while attending school at Goldey-Beacom College. We both played sports and earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting-Information Systems and Accounting, respectively. We have two amazing children who keep us active, laughing and on our toes.

Laura began her career working at Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, one of Delaware’s largest and most recognized law firms.  After working there for a few years, she then went into public accounting at Barbacane, Thornton & Company LLP where she specialized in audits of nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, Delaware and Pennsylvania school districts and charter schools. After four years of public accounting, Laura became the Director of Finance at United Way of Delaware.  Working for a nonprofit organization was very rewarding, and fueled the desire to help other organizations, schools and small businesses with needs of their own.

Michael's career began at Lehman Brothers where he worked as a senior accountant in the mortgage capital division for six years.  During this time, he developed skills in internal controls, variance analysis and financial reporting. Subsequently, Michael began working as an auditor for Barbacane, Thornton & Company LLP.  As a supervisor, further experience was attained in various types of financial statements, compliance audits, design and implementation of internal controls during his nearly four years of service to the organization.
